I'm 50 yrs old, 5"9", 155-160lbs and wear a 36DDD/E minimizer or 34G regular bra. I've been very active my whole life until my daughter was born 17 years ago and my breasts became gynormous. I went from a 34D prepregnancy to the above listed size and have been so since her birth. I read this forum in its entirety and the comments contained helped me to finalize my choice of Dr. Baxt for this procedure. I met with Dr. Baxt in Nov. 2007 and decided to have the SBR and additional lipo on chin/jowls, stomach, flanks, hips and thighs scheduled for 2/26/08. Day 1: Had a 3 hour drive home and once I got there, just slept into the next morning w/pain medication. Was sore all over. Day 2: 100% better but very sore. Removed binders and dressings for shower and happily noticed an immediate decrease in the size of my breasts. Reviewed Dr. Baxt's notes; he removed 1400cc's from my right breast and 1250cc's from my left (as that was the smaller of the two). Had to cradle my breasts as they were quite sore without the support of the sports bra, also bruised and swollen. Minimal bleeding from the incision site. I replaced all dressings and compression garments. Day 3: 100% improvement over yesterday. Took a shower with a swimsuit top (no underwire) which helped incredibly. Breasts still sore, more bruising into a very nice purple color! I'm able to massage/rub them a little, also used a warm wet washcloth which soothed the lumpiness a little. No leakage from any incision sites. Replaced all dressings. Day 4: Another 100% improvement! Breasts not so lumpy but still sore and very bruised. I am absolutely ecstatic about my experience! Dr. Baxt and his whole medical team were great. I can see that I'll be able to surf and ride my horses with a lot more comfort than I have in a lot of years. My breasts look the way they did before I got pregnant and I know that this is just the beginning of the healing process. Will post in about a week. Thanks again Dr. Baxt!
