Hey, everyone!
So I've been reading this forum since the summer, when I first became interested in scarless breast reduction. I'm 19, a size 2, and was (until 2 days ago) a 30G. Before my surgery I was very out of proportion, and was worried that my doctor would not be able to remove enough fat from my breasts to make a significant change. After surgery, my doctor seemed very pleased. He was able to remove a full 600cc from my larger breast (400 using microexcisional and 200 using lipo) and 400cc from the slightly smaller one (about half with the microexcisional technique). I know this may sound like a small amount for those with larger rib cages, but since I'm so small I'm hoping that the change will take me down to a D or DD. After years of back pain and being uncomfortable, I'm hoping that I will finally be able to work out and go to the beach like a normal girl, without worrying that my boobs are going to fall out of my clothes! As a rather petite girl with over-sized breasts who had microexcisional, I'm also hoping my experience will provide other women in a similar situation with some insight on this scary - but potentially life-changing - procedure.
Here's my post-op status right now:
- My breasts are REALLY swollen. I've seen pictures of people right after normal lipo, and my bruising is really excessive in comparison. However, I do hear this is normal (my doc told me microexcisional often causes even more bruising than I have).
- At the moment, I really can't tell if I'm any smaller than I was before surgery. As I said, I'm so swollen, I'm still pretty large on top. But from what I can see, I do seem to have some excess skin hanging about (which is kind of gross, I know) so I'm hopeful I will begin seeing significant results soon!
Okay, so I suppose I'll be checking back in during the next few days to keep you all posted on how I'm doing. Thanks for reading!

So hey again!
So before I start talking about my progress, I do want to explain why I chose scarless breast reduction. I'm not the greatest candidate for the procedure. I'm young, I'm fit (around 125 lbs.), and I wear a VERY large cup size. On my first appointment with the doctor who performed the surgery, we talked about other procedures and he even said I would probably have a better outcome with a different procedure. Now, I'm really averse to scarring. I like wearing skimpy bathing suits (though I'll admit that's been difficult these past few years) and since I'm young and not married, I'm really conscious of how I look naked. To me, breast reduction seemed inevitable, particularly since I started having back problems. The thought of getting pregnant with such a large chest remains daunting. I thought that if I was going to have a lot of scarring, I would wait on the procedure until later, when I was married or when I just felt more comfortable looking noticeably different under my clothes.
Microexcision really became the deal-breaker. I had no idea before the surgery that the doctor would remove so much actual breast tissue, but it really offered the chance to be a lot smaller even if I didn't have the fat to remove. The doctor warned me that the procedure might be impossible if he couldn't get much fat out when he began the liposuction. I was hoping to end up as a 30D or DD, and I was worried that nothing at all would be possible.
With the price of a breast reduction, it was a tough decision to decide to undergo the procedure. The money was all due up front, though surgeon said he would reimburse his fee (though not the hospital fee) if he couldn't get any fat out. What's more, he pretty much told me insurance was not likely to cover the cost of my reduction, since even if I had a perfect surgery it wasn't likely there would be enough cc's to fill insurance requirements.
I was really lucky the surgery turned out the way it did. Though I haven't yet seen the full results, it's lookin' good!
Next, I just wanted to note some new developments in the recovery process, for all you who are interested!
I want to talk about the bra situation. Right after my surgery, I was wrapped in two elastic, velcro binders from the hospital. I had ordered the typical, front-closure compression bra as my doctor suggested and put it on the morning after. Now I suppose I should warn you all that for the last few years I have been dedicated to purchasing really well-fit, supportive bras, even for everyday wear. But somehow this bra just seemed to mash 'em together and let 'em hang! After a few hours, I rid myself of that bra and threw on a back-closure sports bra (thank goodness I had full arm movement!). I found that sticking a washcloth between the girls created some separation. That said, I did eventually have to take a break from the masher effect of my sports bra by throwing on an old comfort bra I had. I found both these bras - and even my normal bra (and my normal bra in a size smaller!) - to be a lot more comfortable than the one I was told to wear. I know I'm supposed to wear some compressing bras for the next few weeks or so, but I find my bras to be a lot more comfortable and supportive. I really want to wear more normal bras...If anyone can give their advice on what I should do, please let me know!
I also noticed some really strange scabbing on my nipples, particularly on the right one. I really haven't had full sensation on that nipple - which had more tissue and fat removed - since the surgery and when I noticed the scabbing I was initially afraid that the skin was dying (it turns black when it dies). But upon further examination it turned out just to be some strange scabbing. This occurred - to a lesser extent - even on my left nipple. I'm still not really sure what this is, though Vaseline seemed to help the skin look a little less irritated. Chapped nips anyone?
Okay, so those were really the major issues I've had. The discomfort and bruising continue but seem to be improving slowly. I'm not allowed to really exercise until a month from my surgery day, but walking around and carrying small things seems to get a little easier each day.
ALSO!!!! I tried on a bra that was a 30FF today (small steps, I know) and my left breast fit perfectly, or was even a little small! My right breast is a little larger, but the way I fit in this bra mirrors exactly the way I fit in my 30G just 6 days ago. Although I know this doesn't sound like a lot to those cynics out there, I'm being patient. I'm still really swollen and there's a bunch of extra skin, so I'm excited to see what happens when things finally return to normal!
I'd be happy to answer any questions you all have (even for people with different body types or who are considering different procedures, I've read so many of these forums that I can probably give my two cents!).
Thanks for reading such a long post! More to follow...

Hey i was wondering how your progress went I am looking intp BR but I am scared of the scarring for the same reasons you are. I am not as tiny as you but I am a size 7 with a 34 F cup and I really think its time. My back has been killing me and I feel like they are only getting bigger. Please let me know how you made out.
