I flew into NY from Seattle and Dr. Baxt had a town car waiting, which we took to their designated hotel in New Jersey. The accomodation is good, but nothing fancy. Its clean and nice and close to Dr. Baxt office and comes with complementary breakfast. which is delicious. However the day of surgery I couldn't eat.
Woke up with warm blankets and yippie, scrunched, flat, bbs...The shuttle from the hotel picked us up and took us back to the room where I slept on and off and had my kotex (what they put under you bbs where the incision is to catch the drainage) which I had a lot of. Dr. B called in the evening to check with me. I was concerned that the one bb was bigger than the other, he said if it didn't chg. come in tomorrow. But then I went back to sleep and laid on the bigger bb side and it drained which brought it to same size as the other.
Its day two and I am more soar today, a little black and blue, and all of the drugs have worn off, both in my head and the numbness in my breast is gone and I can feel my tender bbs. But I am fine taking only the extra strength tylenol, although I have a prescription for vicaden, I would rather not use it as I know I will get sleepy. Maybe tonite. So now I am restless and wanting to do something outside but maybe should continue to rest as tomorrow I fly again for 7 hours.
I hope this helps anyone out there that might need some encouragment. I am glad I did this, even though it took a lot of planning and effort, I will be happy to have the weight off my shoulders and back. P.S. I was a 40 DDD (scrunched into a triple D) and 59 years old. I will let you know how small I end up.
Thank you Arlene, Susan Mr. Anesthesiologist and of course Dr. Baxt. I'll send an after picture when I am healed.
