Hi everyone: Well just to catch you all up, I am the one who traveled from Seattle to Dr. Baxt and arrived in the evening too late to see him, so bright and early the next day I walked into his office site not seen and placed myself in his hands. It was a little nerve racking not to have met with anyone before, which I could have done had I wanted to schedule my flights and times there longer, but I thought I'd just get more anxious! You may have read my previous posts.! Now I am writing to let you all know that I am almost two months post surgery. I am still a little discolored here and there but nothing to dark or bad. My breast swelling has gone down SIGNIFICANTLY but they are still a little hard way down inside. Now and again I feel a little ache but nothing worth any medication at all. As a matter of fact I hardly took any meds after the first few days on tylenol and maybe a few times I took vicaden at night.

I am soooooo happy with my new bbs....they are small (to me) and so much better. I was a 40 probably E or F, I would never buy a bra bigger than a DDD because I hated the idea. So you can imagine how my bras fit! I wore minimizers and it was not a pretty site. I squished myself in and a lot of me was under and over the cup!! About 2 weeks ago I went shopping for new bras, no wires...I actually bought colored bras for the first time ever! In minimizers you get white, black, tan and flesh color.....so I bought blue and purple and gray...that was fun. Two were size 40 D and one 40 C. The D's have since gotten a little big both in the cup and around so the swelling is still going down.

I do have some extra skin at the bottom of the breasts but Susan recently told me to keep wearing sports bras so the extra skin doesn't get pulled down and stretched when in a regular bra. I am 59 years old so my skin is not as elastic as when younger and I was ready for the possibility of some extra skin. But in two months its not looking bad at all to me. I may even get smaller according to Susan. My left breast is slightly larger than my right. I never noticed this before the reduction, but both bbs had the same amount of fluid taken out, 1500 ccs, so it may have been larger and I never really noticed, or it has more swelling than the right. At first it was more noticible than it is now and I think that is because of the swelling going down.

I would just like to say I wish I would have done this years ago. It was worth the trip to Dr. Baxt, because I felt confident in his ability and he is a very kind man and takes time to talk you through
even though your across the country. I will be sending in my pix. at two months post op. If your on the fence, go for it! Maddie

Glad to hear about your progress. I am seriously interested in this procedure but am apprehensive--did your insurance cover the surgery? Would love Dr. Baxt to perform this surgery on myself but cannot afford it at the moment. (Insurance = Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield)

Hi Sara
our patients have not been able to get the liposuction breast reductions covered. Insurance companies will not cover liposuction.
