Hi All,

I did my SBR about 3 1/2 weeks ago and thought I would post a progress report as both a thank you to those who supported me and answered all my Qs and to those who are thinking of doing it.

First of all, all the staff at Baxt Cosmedical were great and I felt very well taken care of. I will need to email them and thank them as I haven't been good at keeping in touch  I had a picture of a beach that I was going to think of while preparing for my little sleep but I had no time! The last thing I remember was the nurse stroking my forehead. The next thing I remember is waking up in the recovery chair. I have to say that the pain was minimal. It was like a stinging sensation sort of how you feel if you put some salty water in a small wound. It was not the kind of pain that you can't live with. On a scale of 1 to 10, it was probably a 4. I asked for tylenol and used that hte first day. After the first day, I had no pain at all!!
I just listened to my body and slept whenever I felt tired and drank lots of fluids. My boobs already looked smaller when I dared to look on day 5. But bruising and swelling kicked in. The bruises subsided by end of week 2. My boobs are lumpy now but I am massaging them.

I have been wearing the Enell sports bra diligently and massaging them everyday. I was a DDD and higher but am now wearing a D (US size). Dr Baxt told me that because such a significant amount was removed (2100 cc in total), it will take a long time to see the results. Already I feel lighter and my clothes fit better. I can't wait to get some sexy new lingerie next year.

Kristie I know you are thinking of having this done. I would really recommend it! I was very worried about the pain and about whether they would find enough fat. On both counts, I am very pleased. It is totally worth it. I can't wait till I get down some more...My boobs look the same only smaller. The lumps dont really bother me. I look taller too because my chest is not swamped with giant boobs now!

If you have any questions or want to chat more, email me platinum74@yahoo.com I know talking to people who've been through SBR was very important for me and put me more at ease about the procedure.

Dr Baxt, Susan and team I will be in touch soon!

Christina

Do they feel the same post op? How lond was the recovery, how much work did you take off? Also, did you have any insurance?

Yes they feel exactly the same in shape etc only smaller! There are some lumps but they are getting softer as time goes by. I combined my surgery with a long holiday in the US but I was fine after about 1 week. The swelling had gone down by then and I wasn't in any pain anyway from day 1. I would have been able to go to work but was happy to just chill with my friends and then go buy bras in WAlMart where previously they didn't fit!

I didn't have any insurance so had to take out a loan for the procedure. It was worth it. I feel soo much lighter even when I run (although I am wearing a good support bra but I would do that anyway).

Will keep you posted!

Chrisitna
