I have considered breast reductions for years. Although the fears of undergoing a serious surgery and the potential for scars and other complications has always made me decide to wait. I am 24 years old, 5'2" and weigh about 120lbs and am a 30FF. I am very petite and therefore have a lot of neck, shoulder and low back pain which triggers severe headaches. My question is, if I have always been large chested but typically been a low-normal weight does that mean my breast tissiue is most likely glandular and therefore will not benefit from SBR? Anyone of normal or low weight have the procedure with great results?

To answer your question, I'm 5 foot 3 and weigh 120 and have never really been overweight. I had SBR by Dr. Baxt in 2002 at age 26. I was very worried my breast wld be mostly glandular b/c they always hurt so much before my period/ I was a 34 D before -- pushing a DD and I have to say my fears were kind of confirmed. I am a little smaller but not nearly as much as I'd hoped.... I still have isssues in bathing suits and bras and still feel like I have big boobs. When I look at the before/after pictures I do see a difference but I am a little disappointed, still all these years later. My shape did stay the same.

I was 96 lbs and 5'00"tall with size 32D (i was probably really a 30DD but they never carried that size in the stores). When i lost weight at the time (a couple of times i dropped to 90-92 lbs) and my boobs didnt get smaller at all, they actually looked bigger because the rest of me was so skinny. I had SBR at 23 and i wanted to be a 32C . I am a size 32C now but it feels like the skin is kinda loose and they are flatter so I am not happy with it. But there was no problem getting me smaller. So I dont think that just because you are thin that SBR wont work. And even though I am heavier now my breasts are still small.
