I was wondering if I could undergo this proceedure and keep it a secret from my husband. He wouldn't oppose it, but I think that he would be turned off by the idea. How many days would I have to claim to be "under the weather"?

You'd be "under the weather" for around four days. The hardest thing to cover up will be the bruising which goes away but covers your whole chest for awile!
