I just had SBR w/ Dr. Baxt this past Tuesday, 11/20. I had traditional breast reduction done about 10 years ago, but my breast size did go back to what it was originally. On Tuesday, I was wearing a 40DD, but Dr. Baxt said I was larger than that. He took out appoximately 1500cc from each breast and I am SO HAPPY with the results and it's only the second day after surgery. The SBR method is so much less painful than the traditional method of breast reduction.
Day 1 after surgery I felt fine and even went out to lunch at a restaurant after the surgery. I rested the rest of the day, but felt comfortable. Day 2 I felt a little sore, was sleepy, and took a few naps during the day. The tylenol works well for any pain which is minimal. I did manage to take a short walk around the block which was the extent of my movement for the day! Day 3 I did take a shower today and my breasts felt like they were very heavy and I had to hold them up to take the shower. They are only slightly bruised underneath and they are so much smaller which I am thrilled about. I purchased an Enell sports bra and along with the compression garment the pressure feels good. I will continue to post my progress.

I wanted to give an update since my last post. It has been almost 3 weeks since my surgery.
Week 1: During the first week after surgery, I wore a very tight sports bra during the day, but I needed to wear the compression garment as soon as I got home from work. It's not that I was uncomfortable at all during the day, but the pressure from the garment felt good. Once in awhile I would need some tylenol. I was still black and blue and a bit swollen, but they look great!
Week 2: I wore the compression garment each night for about 2 weeks since the pressure felt good. My bruises are more of a yellow color now. I have started to massage my breasts at night, but the shape of them are fantastic! I have not needed any tylenol and feel good.
Week 3: I have not worn the compression garment at all this week. Some nights I will wear my Enell sports bra which is fairly tight. I tried bras on the other day and am either a large C or small D, which is a great difference from my almost DDD. Also, my shirt size is either a M or L, depending on the manufacturer. I continue to wear sports bras day and night, but I aleady had to buy a new Enell bra since the original one I purchased was too big! My bruises are nearly gone, also.
I will continue to post as I progress with healing. I am so happy that I did this. I wish I did it so much sooner!

It has been 1 month since my SBR with Dr. Baxt and I wanted to give an update on my progress.
I have to say that I am pretty well healed. I do not have any bruising left and have not worn the compression garment in weeks. Additionally, I have not had the need to take any tylenol or other pain killers since my breasts feel fine. I still wear my Enell sports bra at night and I have been wearing sports bras made by Champion during the day since it is not as constricting as the Enell. I have purchased non-underwire, non-sports bras, but have not worn them yet! My bra size did go from a 40DD to a 38C. My shirts fit much better and I am very happy with the results.
